NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)

The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), developed by Dr. Laurence Heller, is a therapeutic approach designed to address the lasting effects of developmental trauma, attachment wounds, and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD). NARM recognizes that early life experiences can influence how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.

Rather than focusing solely on past events, NARM emphasizes present-moment awareness and explores how patterns developed earlier in life may continue to impact emotions, relationships, identity, and overall well-being. Through a compassionate and collaborative process, clients can develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and connection.

NARM helps individuals strengthen the relationship between mind and body while fostering a greater sense of agency and authenticity. By building on existing strengths and resources, clients can create meaningful change and experience greater freedom from patterns that no longer serve them.
